Benefits of
Green Tea. There are several ways in which green tea promote weight loss
and I will discuss each way in turn and provide you with the science
behind the superb beverage that is green tea.
The explosive
growth of green tea has been well documented especially in recent years.
If it seems like there is a new article or news report talking about
the benefits of taking green tea, that's because there is.
Green Tea was discovered 4000 years ago and has since been considered a wonder tonic for everything from fighting colds, anti-aging, weight loss, and even improved brain function.
Ever wonder why that is? Of course it's not completely true in every
case, but for the most part Japanese women age better and maintain a
slimmer figure than most western women of their same age. Because of
this phenomenon we decided to look further into the health benefits of
green tea.
Green Tea Benefits:
This list was compiled by the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Green tea has been extensively studied in people, animals, and
laboratory experiments. Results from these studies suggest that green
tea may be useful for the following health conditions:
Arteriosclerosis
High cholesterol
Cancer- (bladder, ovarian, breast, colon, lung, pancreas, prostate…just to name a few)
Inflammatory Bowel DiseaseDiabetes
Liver disease
Weight loss
Available Forms of Green Tea:
For a very long time the only way to have green tea was to make it traditionally as a tea (Tips on making fine tea),
with the leaves, the kettle, etc…Soon after the packet that was
invented it was dipped into hot water and you would have it hot and
ready quickly. However, the problem was that most people want to enjoy
the benefits of drinking green tea but squirm at the taste. Along came
modern medicine and the capability of condensing the awesome green tea
in a capsule. Many companies have taken to creating green tea capsules.
In fact if you look hard enough, you can find many companies giving out
free trials of their products.
Green tea is a much safer
supplement than other weight loss supplements as it doesn't act as an
appetite suppressant. Green tea use promotes burning of fat by raising
metabolism. Other weight loss supplements that raise metabolism such as
Ephedrine have links to heart attacks.
Whilst green tea for
weight loss is not a magic bullet that will cure the global obesity
pandemic, greatly hastens fat loss in combination with a suitable diet
and exercise.
